Sony HXR-NX5U HD Camcorder Reviewed

The Sony HXR-NX5U is a true workhorse and one of the best camcorders in the AVCHD format. Professional event videographers will love the long record times and well thought out controls.

Good color balance, One-fourth-stop manual iris, 20x Sony G Lens, Great optics

29.5mm at the widest is good, but you might need an adapter if you want a little more room., Front shoe mount may put you at odds with the LCD's ability to flip out., GPS might be a little too far ahead of its time

With a large battery and two cards have capacity for hours of recording ; Has option to calibrate the picture with different modes, film, tv ; The audio is very correct and micro incorporating also very good

Pass everywhere, light will be on drugs

Quality of the bad slow motion, and quality of recording in mode(fashion) automobile not trés satisfying, embellish with images fuzziness(vagueness) when we make a slightly too fast panoramic view

I prefer a larger lcd screen , the View finder is ok but not as good as my FS 100 , But it is a slightly more expensive camera so i shouldn't Complain

I am very happy with the purchase so far, a great improvement on our previous camera. Ingesting media direct from memory card is a big time saver

Rembering to create full disk image backup of media card for archive purposes. This will improve with time, and losing the comfort from having a physical tape

We had some big problems with this camera, to the extent that we have now sold it and bought a Canon XF300 ; Where to start, the focusing seemd haphazard to say the least. Autofocus seems to go for what was bright in an image rather than what was...
