Sony Handycam NEX-VG10 (with 18-200mm Lens) review: Sony Handycam NEX-VG10 (with 18-200mm Lens)

The Sony Handycam NEX-VG10 brings interchangeable-lens flexibility to camcorders at a prosumer price.

Though it's priced like a high-end camcorder, with the exception of the lenses the VG10's feature set and video quality don't match that of much cheaper models.

A solid first effort in a nascent category, the Sony Handycam NEX-VG10 nevertheless needs some conceptual refinement.

Sony NEX-VG10 Camcorder with Interchangeable Lens Reviewed

If you're looking for near-prosumer performance on a sub-prosumer budget then you'll want to have a serious look at the Sony NEX-VG10.

Interchangeable lenses, Large sensor - very shallow depth of field, User friendly, intuitive controls

Should have a power zoom to minimize wrist rotation, Handheld use picks up substantial handling noise, May be a bit pricey for the strictly consumer market
