Sony’s New FDR-AX53 Handycam is a Consumer-Oriented 4K Camcorder

Sony unveiled the FDR-AX53 Handycam at CES 2016 to add it to the company's growing 4K lineup. The AX53 features a new 20x optical zoom lens (26.8-536mm equivalent) with advanced aspherical (AA) and Extra-low Dispersion (ED) lens elements that allow it...

Does anyone know of any camcorders on the foreseeable horizon that are small, light and sub $1000 that will do this?

Great Camera but

Camera is great but transferring videos to my computer was very difficult. There should be a YouTube link so that people can see easily what to do.

Boss Stabilization is awesome but still no 4k 50p

The Boss stabilization is excellent. This model is better than last years AX33 but I would like a bigger sensor like a AX100 in a body this size. I really cannot believe in 2016 there is still no 4k 50p recording mode option.

Top quality handycam

I am an experienced videographer and the AX53 is the best camera that I have ever owned. Whilst I bought the camera for its 4K capability, I am only using it at the moment for HD output using the highest quality setting of 50p and a bit rate of 50Mbps....
