Panasonic SDR-H18 review: Panasonic SDR-H18

Records to hard drive or SD card; optical image stabilization; 32X optical zoom; comfortable grip.

No macro mode; menu button a bit hard to reach with a thumb; USB jack hidden behind battery; awkward manual control switch.

Combining the simplicity of SD recording, a roomy 30GB hard drive, a long zoom, and pleasing image quality, the SDR-H18 is a good choice for a standard-definition, hard-drive camcorder.

Software is hard to use. Hard to understand how to edit/burn a movie to DVD

Good value for money for someone looking for SD camcorder

I wanted to buy High Definition camcorder and got this instead due to two reasons. 1. Price - this camcorder cost $350. That was great price compared to similar models from other brands. 2. Zoom - The camcorder has much higer zooms than High...

Simple to use. Built-in HDD storage. Doubles as still camera. Large zoom.

Picture quality is not great when viewed on HD Television
