High video and image quality, Long battery life

High price, One-handed operation is awkward

This camcorder delivers impressive battery life, but its three CCDs promise more than they deliver.

Panasonic SDR-H200 30GB Hard Drive Camcorder (10x Opt, 700x Dig, 2.7

Not graced with sophisticated styling, the Panasonic SDR-H200 ($720 as of April 24, 2007) has no more in the way of extra features than competing models that cost $100 to $200 less. One possible reason for the high price is the camcorder's three-chip...

Panasonic SDR-H200 Camcorder Review

The Panasonic SDR-H200 is the company's leading camcorder in their new hybrid hard disk drive (HDD) / SD card camcorder. Featuring an identical imaging set to the VDR-D310, their top DVD camcorder, and the PV-GS320, their top MiniDV camcorder,...

Panasonic SDR-H200 Review and Prices

The Panasonic SDR-H200 is the company's top of the line standard definition HDD DV camcorder. If you're judging a camcorder on video quality and manual control options alone, the SDR-H200 is at the top of the amateur level HDD units out there. Yet it's...

Excellent image quality in good lighting, great handling, impressive OIS

Disappointing low light performance, awkward placement of connections

Panasonic SDR-H200

The SDR-H200 is Panasonic's top of the line hybrid camcorder, recording video and stills to either a 30GB hard disk drive (HDD) or SDHC flash memory card. This means no tapes or DVD discs to deal with-everything is recorded internally - keeping it...

Panasonic SDR-H200

Superb image quality and extremely long recording times are the star attractions with the Panasonic SDR-H200 hard drive, standard definition camcorder. Though it shouldn't be confused with a high definition video camera, it employs some very high end...

The Panasonic SDR-H200 offers excellent video quality in a standard definition camcorder due to its advanced 3CCD image sensor system coupled with a superb processor and augmented by impressive optical image stabilization. Its hard drive recording...

Great Entry level

I don't have that many plugs near my computer so the extra pain of the battery knocked off a star, especially since there is a little door above the battery that covers the TV connector. Seems like they could have easily put the USB and Power under...

HDD recording eliminates sound issues which is a huge plus. Came with a 512 mb SD card. Pretty decent instructions and a nice learning curve. The cool leaf shutter replaces the lens cap on this model and in video mode you can use it to transition which...

Have to remove the battery to plug in the USB and power. AC adapter that comes with the camera is ALSO the battery charger. Haven't had to charge the battery while transferring media yet so I don't know if it is capable of doing both at the same time....

A+++ camcorder

I'm very happy with my purchase of this camcorder. It was between this and a Sony camcorder. I went with this due to the 3CCD. I've already taken many videos of my new born baby girl.

The color and clarity on this camcorder are very vibrant. The 3CCD definately makes a big difference. In dark situations the light along with the Magicpix feature makes for a great recording. I like the feature of being able to insert another memory...

When you want to connect it to your computer you have to remove the battery in order to access the connection to connect it to the computer. This means you always have to be around an electrical outlet to plug in the camcorder to give it power. It will...

Quality Camcorder

This is my first Camcorder. Overall it is very impressive. There were very few reviews of this camera when I bought it. Took a risk but I am happy with the purchase. Newegg great as always.

Very Easy to use. 30 Gb hardrive provides lots of space for video. Software that comes with the camera is adequate, no more than is needed. Still pictures are pretty decent

Indoor video depending on lighting levels can vary
