Lasted me 3 years

I've been generally pleased with this camera the three or so years that it lasted me.

Takes a decent picture, has some nice effects, and good manual control

Will eventually break

Good camera and affordable price

The Panasonic PV-DV53 is middle size camcorder. The main advantage is 1 / 4 inch CCD. Most of the modern mini DV camcorders have 1 / 6 inch CCDs. Size of CCD is the main factor for low light performance. Video quality is good even in low light...

Panasonic PV-DV53 MiniDV Digital Camcorder

I recieved a VHS-C camcorder for Christmas and was not happy with the picture quality or the length of recording time per tape (30 min).

Least expensive miniDV camcorder I could find, good picture, light weight, east to use, tape eject on the side instead of on the bottom so you don't have to take it off the tripod to change tapes

NO PC CONNECTION CABLES INCLUDED, no memory card for digital still pictures
