At £281, this model isn't much more expensive than the budget MiniDV models. Its grey plastic finish certainly looks more workmanlike than the stylish Canon and Sony models, though, and it has a fiddly manual lens cap.

Panasonic's NV-GS150 performed excellently in our Labs test in Shopper April 2006. Its successor, the NV-GS180, has a few differences but is £150 cheaper.

Really easy to use camera with superb results on the miniDV tapes. The Panasonic can shoot good pictures in even very low light. Excellent value for money.

small size, good layout, high quality picture and logical menus

Best value for money QUALITY Video + Great Price = Value

Software is not the best out there. But you can use windows movie maker easyly
