Zooms in to amazing distances (i used it in a stadium and could read the seat numbers of the rows on the other side!) ; The picture and video quality is good ; The drop detection works great ; Rapid-shot ; Built-in light and lens cover ; Touch controls

The video format is very strange (.mod) ; Youtube (and many other things) wont recognize that the video is in widescreen so it looks distorted ; Hard to see screen in sun ; Very shakey when zoomed in

I wish you could manually open the lens cover so that you could clean the lens. I got a speck of dirt/sand and the speck shows up in all my pictures. I think I will have to turn the camera on so that the cap opens and then I can clean the lens

JVC Everio GZ-MG630

JVC Everio GZ-MG630 with 60 GB of storage is an awesome, compact alternative to the end camcorder. The model comes in Blue, silver, and red and weighs in at a mere 11 ounces. The camera also has very convenient 2.7 inch LCD viewfinder.

Consumers appreciated the sensor upgrade as well as the large capacity of the HDD. They also commented on how compact the camera was and the ability to take it anywhere
