Canon MVX25i and MVX20i DV Camcorder Reviews

Another top-loader! Great features without being over-burdened with stuff that people will never use. Image quality is excellent and better-than-expected performance in low light situations. Great handling, too. 14x Optical Zoom is welcome.

Lack of manual control over audio input or exposure. LCD screen could be bigger, and resolution of Viewfinder could be better.

Excellent image quality, acceptably low tape transport noise and a whole host of good features make this a great all-rounder for upgraders and new camcorder users alike. Top marks.

Terrible

Well, were do I start. I just simply say that it is a piece of s**t. We bought ours around Christmas 2004 and didn't get to use it that much. When it broke the Cannon people told us that it's not worth fixing.

None that another cheaper brand can't offer

Costs to much to fix.

Good

Great camera, easy to use for the main functions, some of the more advanced functions not so easy. Very light and nice to hold. Good bundled software for viewing and movie editing. Wide screen recording is a bonus on this price level camera. Very good...

Small, light, fast startup, great quality images, doubles as a digital still camera, 16:9 widescreen aspect, great value bundled software, image stabilizer makes steady shooting natural. Lots of good things about this camera.

lens flare when pointed into a strong light source, such as a window or sky, digital effects not straight forward to use, no titling capabilities.
