Canon DC40

Very good video quality. Decent 4-megapixel stills. Variety of special modes and features for both stills and video.

Significant shutter lag in auto mode. Video has a slight color cast. Reviewing still images is slow.

Although performance needs to improve, the Canon DC40 is one of the first miniDVD camcorders to let you shoot decent stills.

Great if you want it more for the video aspect and not still images. Somewhat time consuming trying to figure out all the options.

Good Camcorder!

Great camera for the price. I was deciding between this one, sony, and a panasonic model. I was really bummed out about the night mode performance... it maked it almost useless unless you want "blurvision". I've always loved anything that feels nice...

great product

great camera for special events. although it can be used for travel. i wouldnt recomend a camcorder of this size for travel abroad. this is a great quality camera canon's are very well built and designed.
