Panasonic DMP-BDT100

If you're already sold on the idea of 3D, then it makes perfect sense to stick the DMP-BDT100 on your shortlist.

Easy to use, Stunning 2D picture quality, Affordable

Can't stream from PCs, Slow to load Blu-ray discs, Picture brightness reduced with 3D glasses

Panasonic DMP-BDT100 review

The Panasonic DMP-BDT100 is keenly priced, has fine sound and it's 3D capable, too

Vibrant, clean and detailed pictures from all sources ; easy operability ; smooth, weighty sound

Wi-fi's extra ; slight internet content

The Panasonic's spec is a smidge short of the complete package, but this is a cracking performer at a great price

For its second 3D deck, Panasonic has gone back to basics

Excellent video performance ; Solid CD playback

Unconvincing DLNA function ; Scant Viera Cast content

Panasonic DMP-BDT100

Panasonic's budget 3D Blu-ray player is designed to be paired with one of the brand's two 3D TVs - either its 50-inch TX-50VT20 or 65-inch TX-65VT20 plasmas - though makes for a great future-proof buy of you plan to fork out for a 3D screen in the next...

3D & HD pictures, price, Viera Cast, DivX HD playback

Drab user interface, lacks second USB slot, no built-in storage

Keenly priced for those after a future-proof Blu-ray player, this deck handles 2D and 3D alike, but cuts a few corners along the way. Lacking built-in Wi-Fi, there’s integrated storage for BD Live or no analogue audio outputs - it’s best paired with a...

Panasonic DMP-BDT100 Blu-ray 3D PlayerReview

Panasonic's DMP-BDT100 is currently their entry-level Blu-ray 3D player. It offers a strong pedigree of performance and a lot of features for not a lot of money, with one potential show-stopper.

If you're looking to upgrade to 3D on the cheap, you'll get a lot of bang for your buck with the DMP-BDT100.

Panasonic DMP-BDT100 Blu-ray Player Reviewed

Panasonic has introduced a lower-priced alternative to its top-of-the-line DMP-BDT350 3D Blu-ray player. The new DMP-BDT100 ($249.95) lacks the dual HDMI outputs found on the BDT350, but it does include the VIERA Cast Web platform, DLNA streaming, and...

The DMP-BDT100 supports 3D playback, when mated with other 3D-capable components ; The player supports 1080p/24 playback of Blu-ray discs ; It has internal decoding and bitstream output of high-resolution audio sources ; It supports BD-Live and...

This model does not include dual HDMI outputs to send separate signals to your 3D TV and A/V receiver ; It also lacks multichannel analog audio outputs, so it's not the best choice for someone who owns an older, non-HDMI A/V receiver ; WiFi is not...

Panasonic was wise to add a less-expensive 3D-capable Blu-ray player to its line in order to compete with Samsung and Sony, but the DMP-BDT100's $249.95 MSRP is still a bit higher than the entry-level 3D models from those other guys. Still, if you're...

Panasonic DMP-BDT100

Panasonic has been manufacturing various consumer electronic components for many years now and their recent offerings still show that they are top competitor. Their current lineup of VIERA HDTVs has impressed customers as their top models demonstrate...

There are some minor sacrifices made such as the user interface which is not as friendly as the higher-end DMP-BDT300 and the connection ports are basic. But small home theater systems that include a large 3D HDTV make the DMP-BDT100 a great companion...
