Panasonic DMP-BD10A review

Panasonic's original Blu-ray player is back. But are some small tweaks and a big price drop enough to make it the must-have hi-def disc spinner?

Panasonic DMP-BD10A

When we tested Panasonic's original Blu-ray player, the DMP-BDP10, we were blown away by its hi-def picture and PCM sound quality. This version is physically identical to its predecessor but has been upgraded

Excellent picture and sound, Good menu screen

Slow to load discs, Expensive

Stunning images and improved audio can't quite persuade us to part with so much money to join the HD revolution

Great Blu-ray and DVD playback, responsive interface

Design may irritate some users, slightly expensive

It's not the cheapest on the market, but the Panasonic DMP-BD10A should satisfy anyone looking for high quality high definition playback.

Awesome BD player

Cost about a grand when we got it in 2006.

Got the player christmas 2006 and its worked great ever since. Connected to a sony 30"" (CRT) 1080i hdtv via HMDI and the picture is amazing. Looks great, stays cool. Its got lots of outputs... whatever you need pretty much. We use hdmi and an optical...

Rather slow with menus and stuff, but i guess this is a common problem for bd players. Also, the hinged mirror on the front of the box can get a bit annoying (although it does look cool)
