The latest Blu-ray player from Denon has a bit of a mean and moody streak

Good, natural-looking picture ; Audio performance ; Great value

Picture not as punchy as some ; No analogue outs ; Slow menus on some discs

A solid and well made Blu-ray deck that makes good use of Denon's audio wizardry

Denon DBP-1610 review

Once again Denon has produced a thoroughly solid and dependable piece of AV kit, but we think there's better out there for the money

Good list of features ; solid styling and build ; easy to use ; good insight, smooth motion

Lacks a little weight to sound and edges could be sharper ; no multichannel outs

Another dependably good Denon AV product but falls short of the very best all-rounders

Still, its bulk and bluff appearance implies a player that has reproduction quality at its heart, which is just as well, since it's far from being the most broadly featured device here. There's a two-channel audio output and a digital coaxial output...

Top-notch audio components

No multichannel analogue outs, bulky build, video performance not the best here, expensive
