Logitech Squeezebox Duet Network Music System

Forget video. Logitech's Squeezebox Duet focuses purely on audio and masters it.

The two things that could possibly be held against this player are, first, its lack of UPnP compatibility - you're stuck with SqueezeCentre (though there are versions available for Linux as well as MacOS and Windows) - and second, its high price. But...

Logitech Squeezebox Duet review

Sonos has gone largely uncontested in the world of Wi-Fi multiroom music since its debut over two years ago. Until now, Squeezeboxes have been impressive but limited media streamers, building into basic multiroom systems that weren't nearly as complete...

Logitech Squeezebox Duet

We've seen some pretty capable audio streamers over the last few years, from Sonos' excellent Digital Music System to Logitech's Wireless DJ and the Squeezebox 3. The Squeezebox Duet is a bit of a combination of the three, offering Sonos-style...

Superbly compact and stylish setup, very easy to browse and manage collections, excellent streaming performance and audio clarity

Very little

We'd be surprised if Logitech's Squeezbox Duet doesn't become the new leader in home audio streaming. It has combined many of the best bits from Sonos' setup, and previous entries in its own range, to produce a superb solution that puts a massive range...

Logitech Squeezebox Duet review

The Squeezebox Duet's multi-format to multi-room entertainment is a winning combination

Quite superb sound quality ; Inexpensive ; Delightfully simple to set up ; Convenient because one handset will control several Squeezebox units around the home

So lightweight that it can float above the table with inflexible interconnects, other than that we have no complaints

Do not allow the bargain price deter you: this compact little unit punches well above its weight. Its performance is excellent and more than justifies its inclusion in any decent system. It is certainly a match for many expensive custom install system

Logitech Squeezebox Duet review

Few digital music streaming devices have caught on. Sure, such devices let you stream music over a wireless network, but they've either been inexpensive and clunky - with complicated setups to connect to your network and tiny, text-only screens - or...

Our quibbles with the Logitech Squeezebox Duet are relatively minor. Overall, this is an elegant system that's simple to set up and use, and it offers a reasonably priced alternative to high-end products such as the Sonos Digital Music System.

Logitech Squeezebox Duet

Logitech's fantastic Squeezebox music streamer grows into two parts, but does that make it better? Jonathan Bray finds out.

Streaming media across your home network is growing in popularity, with an ever-increasing number of boxes on the market. With video it's still a dark art getting systems running smoothly, and with an obvious use yet to emerge, there is still a long...

Logitech - Squeezebox Duet

The acquisition of SlimDevices by Logitech back in 2006 certainly seems to have been a successful one, allowing the consumer to benefit from the former's prowess in the wireless audio streaming market and the latter's ability ...

The Squeezebox Duet is on a par with the excellent Sonos home streaming setup, which has arguably been the best around for some time. If you're happy to use your own home cinema equipment to output the audio, you'll save quite a bit by opting for the...
