The Z2000 really does cut the cinephile mustard

Overall, this can be considered an above average performer. Factor in the price and the Z2000 begins to look like a bit of a steal. Its black level performance alone should be enough to convince doubters that LCD can take it to any other projection format...

Set-up is easy, thanks to simple thumbwheel controls for horizontal and vertical lens shift, and the Sanyo�€™s backlit remote is every bit as approachable as the on-screen menus

Calling the PLV-Z2000 perfect wouldn't be right. Its black levels aren't deep enough, SD rescaling could be improved, and HD images are too soft. On the other hand, ergonomics are flawless.

Qualifier the PLV-Z2000 perfect would not be fair: black level not very deep, upscale SD perfectible, image HD too soft ... He suggested, however, a flawless ergonomics.

SANYO has finally done it: a 1080p home theater projector with beautiful picture quality at a reasonable price. The one we've been waiting for has arrived.

Let's face it; I love the SANYO PLV-Z series projectors and the Z2000 has done nothing to change that opinion. I still have a PLV-Z2, and I've coveted the Z5 since our original review. But the Z2000 is really the one I've been waiting for. When fed high q...
