The Verizon Wireless XV6900 is an attractive and compact smartphone with a cool touch interface. It's also equipped with Bluetooth, EV-DO, Windows Mobile 6, and a 2-megapixel camera.
The XV6900 lacks Wi-Fi, and unlike the Sprint HTC Touch, Verizon doesn't offer its entertainment services or preloaded instant messaging clients on the device.
Verizon Wireless XV6900 is a stunning smartphone with a cool touch interface and generally good performance, but the Sprint version offers a slightly better value for your money.
Verizon Wireless made a number of smartphone announcements at CTIA 2008, and we're slowly seeing the roll out of the new devices, the first being the Verizon Wireless XV6900. Design The Verizon Wireless XV6900 will certainly wow your friends and...
The Verizon XV6900 might look familiar to you, even in its shiny white garb. It is actually the same basic device as the HTC Touch for Sprint. We give this Windows Mobile Professional smartphone a quick once over in our review.
The ample display (2.8" TFT-LCD touch screen) offers a new Home format featuring a giant clock display and two rows of quick access icons. One of those icons is a launcher that lets you choose an application (smells a little Apple-ish again, but bear with...

At 4.0 inches long by 2.4 inches wide, the XV6900 is about the same size as the XV6800 (which is 4.1" long by 2.3" wide). But the newer device weighs in significantly lighter at 3.8 ounces compared with 5.7 ounces. And the loss of that slide out keyboard
Come on, you see the white chassis, the wide touch screen, the slim profile on the Verizon XV6900 and you think: wannabe iPhone. After all, this smartphone is Verizon's version of the HTC Touch. As with the iPhone, the chief means of interaction...
The original HTC Touch, released as a GSM phone last June, was one of my favorites and a top seller worldwide. It had incredible good looks, was very small for a PDA phone and it had HTC's then new TouchFLO UI with a screen optimized for a finger rather t...
Good ergonomics including buttons and grippy finish. Good battery life. Strong set of features with Bluetooth, WiFi, A2DP Bluetooth stereo and Windows Mobile's usual strong set of PIM applications, email and web. MS Voice Command included.
Sleepy CPU, no 3G (not even an option yet on T-Mobile's network).
It's small, it's stunning looking and smart. Verizon's version of the Touch is a great choice if you want a touch screen and some serious PDA phone power. We like the fast processor, ample RAM and EVDO performance combined with unexpectedly decent battery...
Here's one of the big problems with the U.S. cell-phone market: A phone-let's call it the HTC Touch-starts out on GSM networks in June 2007. It's got a fresh, radical design. By October 2007, it's on Sprint in a new, faster format with all sorts of new go...
Sleek, slim design. Good performance. Lots of room for third-party apps.
Balky touch screen. Thin set of included software. Poor camera.
The XV6900 is less compelling than its own sibling for Sprint or Windows Mobile smartphones for Verizon Wireless.
Although the Verizon XV6900 has no deal-killing faults, we'd nevertheless suggest a Motorola Q9m or Samsung's SCH-i760 for Verizon instead. All Shots Verizon's XV6900, aka the HTC Touch, is the latest version of a year-old design that was given...
Verizon Wireless made a number of smartphone announcements at CTIA 2008, and we're slowly seeing the roll out of the new devices, the first being the Verizon Wireless XV6900. Available now for $249.99 (with a two-year contract and after rebates), the XV69...

This Windows Mobile handset would have been innovative had it been released a year ago.

We check out the most responsive implementation of the TouchFLO interface we've seen.
Nice new colors on the shell and interface. Responsive touchscreen, works best of any Touch-style device we've tried.
Onscreen keyboard not great for input. Lacks IM clients, multimedia services. Tethered modem support wonky.
