Although the 5-megapixel C903 Cyber-shot is inexpensive -- something that's reflected in its plasticky body and lack of Wi-Fi connectivity -- it's one of the best camera phones we've seen. Its photos are generally excellent, it sports a decent range ...

Shutter lag ; no microSD card included ; no standard headphone jack or adaptor ; slightly cheap-looking ; no Wi-Fi

Does this 5MP phone impress?
Good keypad, GPS, HSDPA
Image quality not great, no 3.5mm jack, shutter button not very responsive
A mixed handset that doesn't really live up to its Cyber-shot billing

The back of the C903 looks remarkably like a compact camera, albeit a tiny, phone-sized one. On one side, the C903 is a normal-looking slider phone, but, on the other side, its full-length, sliding lens cover reveals a 5-megapixel snapper with a two ...

The Sony Ericsson C903 might be the phone manufacturer's latest entry in the Cybershot line-up, but its imaging features leave a lot to be desired. However, the phone makes up with an easy to use and breezy interface, GPS and a good price-tag.
The Sony Ericsson C903 Cybershot has a good interface, decent looks but is let down by its imaging.

The C903's display shows up to 262 K colors in the 240x320 pixel resolution (2.4 inch diagonal, 35x47 mm, TFT). This screen size allows it to accommodate up to 9 text and 4 service lines in most modes (plus it's possible to cram in more information ...

Sony Ericsson's C903 is a slightly less well featured handset than the top-end C905. Both are sliders, and the C903 is slightly smaller and a fair bit lighter. At 96g and 97mm tall, 49mm wide and ...
The ergonomics of use are good, the 5-megapixel camera all you really need from a phone and the battery life perfectly acceptable. Without Wi-Fi the C903 is a bit short-changed, but nonetheless this is a good all rounder.

A solid showing from what might be Sony Ericsson's last ever Cyber-shot phone
Good camera features / Easy to use / Decent value
Proprietary headphones and data connection / No Wi-Fi / Slightly plasticky feel
And so it is with the C903, which – we're told – could well be the last new Cyber-shot model we see from Sony Ericsson. Its focus on photography means it gets some premium features not found on other ranges, though not in the league of the range ...
